I'm delighted to welcome Rachael Cox to what looks like a police station but is in fact a rather wonderful prep school on the edges of Windsor and Eton.
These two young children are thrilled with their new Head, as are the Governors! I have known Eton End School for a number of years and it embodies the finest values and qualities of a small, family-style school. Following the resignation of the very successful Sophie Banks who was appointed to Pembridge Hall in London, the Board were keen to undertake a carefully targeted recruitment exercise to find someone really special who would cherish all that is special about Eton End, whilst taking the school and what it does to even greater heights.
I planned and managed a comprehensive campaign which attracted first-class candidates and gave the Governors a wonderful choice. The final shortlist was a spectacular one and Rachael came through every assessment activity extremely strongly. Previously Head of the Prep School at LVS Ascot, she has huge experience of prep and primary schools and immensely strong leadership skills, buckets of common sense, and a really caring attitude about everything and everyone.
Pupil numbers have grown steadily at Eton End since the school moved to full co-education four years ago, so Rachael inherits a dynamic and successful school with lots of exciting things happening, and more still to happen. Welcome to Eton End, Rachael!
